Who We Are
GTA Emergency Management Consultants Inc. (GTA-EMCI) was established in 2013. It consists of emergency management specialists with over one hundred years of experience. We provide a broad range of consulting services, including but not limited to risk assessments, emergency plans, response plans, fire plans, major event plans and business continuity plans to mitigate your risk. We also provide templated policies and procedures customized to your organization covering topics from onboarding to recovery to ensure company Emergency Preparedness Plans are aligned with Incident Management Systems (IMS) for an efficient and effective response.
We are certified to offer a full complement of the provincially approved Incident Management System (IMS), Incident Command System (ICS), EmergencyOperations Centre (EOC), and Incident Command training courses. We consult on recommendations for planning, mitigation, preparedness, and response that will speed recovery with after-action reports, principally but not limited to the areas of emergency management, policing, security, fire services, emergency medical services, health care sector, non-government organizations (NGOs) and municipal services.
Our Experience
Our organization has years of experience with managing and implementing significant change in organizations, such as the introduction and implementation of Incident Management Systems (IMS) into the business-continuity of organizations, which can help organizations to respond to any incident such as staffing shortages, power outages, supply chain disruptions, fires, floods, etc. GTA-EMCI has led change management projects for small and medium-sized organizations, multi-site regional organizations, multi-site provincial organizations and large change-management initiatives for national organizations.

What We Do
The consulting team’s experience ranges across federal, provincial and municipal levels of government as well as the private and not-for-profit sectors. This encompasses the implementation of emergency management; emergency preparedness plans; business continuity; development of policies and procedures; training in all levels of Incident Management System and EOC (100, 200, 250, 300) as well as a variety of exercises and drills. We endeavor to make full and effective use of technology for our consultants and our clients, allowing for continuous communications and collaboration. We offer“on-demand” services and access to information for our clients, allowing us to provide high-access services while reducing costs.
In addition, our team members have experience in organizational reviews, After-Action Report, strategic planning, business process analysis, organizational change management.
